We travelled to the Amalfi Coast where we were inspired by the Italian coastlines, pastel dipped hills and the never ending summer beach culture.
Our SS18 collection celebrates the European summer and the need to travel and chase the sun, bringing the trends of Europe back home to South Africa.
European summer focusing on the Italian Amalfi coastline for colour inspiration where the houses are painted the most perfect shades of soft pink, delicious shades of blush and blood orange. Deep orange resembling Aperol spritz a summer favourite which can be found in every beach club and restaurant and celebrates a time to be alive. We looked to the deep blue ocean for shades of tinted hues, famous blue and white striped beach chairs and umbrellas. Lemon hued sorbets and pasta all day. Tiny bikinis on the beach and bronzed sun kissed skin.
We first travelled to Praiano - a small but perfect little town situated twenty minutes out from Positano. We stayed at a beautiful tucked away little room at a residence called Locande degli Dei. We took the bus down to the local Marina Di Praia where we spent the day sipping on chilled aperols and all you can eat tomato dipped ravioli. The main areas we spent most of our time was Il Pirata and One fire beach, recommended to us by the best beach babes from Sommerswim.
We then spent a night in Positano which was mesmerizing and our hotel suite was on the very top floor with the most amazing view of the very best of Positano. We then took a ferry to the Amalfi coast where we spent the day hidden under white umbrellas and engalved in the ocean at Santa Caterina.
We cannot wait to be back in Italia soon,
La Dolce Vita, the sweet life, and how sweet it is to truly explore
